School Services
We are looking to make connections with local school districts to provide services to autistic children and/or AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) users, as well as to provide support to staff.
School Contract Tasks Overview
Individual Therapy
Services for Communication can be provided per IEP guidelines. Clinicians are skilled in providing Speech therapy for AAC users and autistic students and can provide the following:
- 1:1 Speech therapy services

Daily documentation/SOAP notes

Progress Reporting
-
Staff training and support for AAC use in the classroom
Evaluations
Speech and language evaluations may be conducted as a standalone evaluation or as part of a multidisciplinary team evaluation. Our therapists deliver comprehensive evaluations including:
- Reviewing records and conducting case histories
- Interviewing teachers, parents, and other related service providers

Administering formal and informal assessment tools

Interpreting results and writing evaluation reports

Writing AAC funding reports to help a student obtain his/her own AAC system

Determining eligibility under the category of Communication and making recommendations for services
AAC Evaluations may be followed up by staff and family training on how to use the new system, if/when applicable.
Program Planning and Consulting
Program planning and consulting services are provided to assist districts in handling caseload overflow, staff absence, compensatory services, and other unique needs. Our speech-language pathologist consultants can help with the following:
- Organizing and Running the Assistive Technology department

Helping SLPs with programming AAC systems and training staff

Providing consultation to SLPs with complex communicators, AAC users, or autistic students on their caseloads
